Softball Recap: Cypress Lakes Comes Up Short

If Cypress Lakes was feeling good fresh off their 18-1 takedown of Cypress Park last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans lost 18-2 to the Waller Bulldogs on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in February.

Cypress Lakes' loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Waller, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-14 record this season.

Cypress Lakes wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-4 defeat against Cypress Woods on the 4th. As for Waller, they have also already played their next contest, a 10-9 loss against Cypress Ranch on the 4th.
