Basketball Recap: Eagle Point Comes Up Short

Eagle Point came up into this matchup off a tough 31-point loss last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the North Eugene Highlanders by a score of 41-38 on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Highlanders: they've now lost eight in a row.

Eagle Point's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for North Eugene, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagle Point will head out to take on Ashland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eagle Point is facing Ashland at the right time seeing as Ashland is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for North Eugene, they are taking a road trip to square off against Springfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Springfield will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something North Eugene surely won't give up without a fight.
