Basketball Recap: Winston Comes Up Short

If Winston was riding high fresh off their 51-26 takedown of Boerne Area Christian HomeSchoolers on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles were outmatched by the Calvary Chapel Christian Academy Archangels and fell 60-33. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Archangels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-22 back in November of 2025.

Calvary Chapel Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Galloway, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Galloway has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ronnie Marvell, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards.

Winston's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Calvary Chapel Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-1.

Looking ahead, Winston will host Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Chapel Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Gateway Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
