Basketball Recap: Holy Name Takes a Loss

Holy Name lost against Lake Catholic back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Holy Name Green Wave fell 69-62 to the Lake Catholic Cougars. The Green Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lake Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ace Peterlin led the charge by putting up 15 points. Cross Nimmo was another key player, posting eight points and six rebounds.

Holy Name's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Lake Catholic, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Holy Name has already played their next game, a 95-44 defeat against Archbishop Hoban on the 28th. As for Lake Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-48 loss against Padua Franciscan on the 25th.
