Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Castle

Castle had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Evansville Bosse Bulldogs 61-37. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Castle's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xander Niehaus, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Castle is 4-2 when Niehaus posts eight or more boards, but 5-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jakob Wongler, who posted 12 points.

The win got Castle back to even at 9-9. As for Evansville Bosse, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Castle will challenge Gibson Southern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Castle's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Evansville Bosse, they and Evansville North will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
