Basketball Recap: Alamogordo Takes a Loss

Alamogordo fought the good fight in their overtime game against Portales on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Portales Rams by a score of 66-64. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since January 19, 2024.

Alamogordo's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Portales, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-9.

Alamogordo will look to defend their home court on Monday against Centennial at 7:30 p.m. Alamogordo is facing Centennial at the right time seeing as Centennial is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Portales, they will square off against New Mexico Military Institute at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
