Basketball Game Preview: Baldwin Bulldogs vs. Christ Prep Academy Patriots

The Baldwin Bulldogs will be taking part in a tournament against the Christ Prep Academy Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Baldwin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.8 points per game this season.

Baldwin saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They came out on top against Bishop Seabury Academy by a score of 50-37. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Seahawks are ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cooper Carr and Leo Schoenberger were among the main playmakers for Baldwin as the former went 7 for 15 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven boards and six assists and the latter almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Carr is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Colton Collum, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Baldwin was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop Seabury Academy only racked up five assists.

Meanwhile, Christ Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt an 87-31 loss at the hands of Bishop Seabury Academy.

Baldwin's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Christ Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
