Basketball Recap: Crow Creek Comes Up Short

Crow Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the McLaughlin Mustangs, falling 72-42. The Chieftains lost against the Mustangs in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 39-37 score last time.

Crow Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for McLaughlin, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Crow Creek will take on Miller at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Crow Creek's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for McLaughlin, they will square off against Dupree at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McLaughlin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Dupree likes a good challenge.
