Softball Recap: Durango Takes a Loss

Durango fell victim to Mojave and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 16-0 to the Mojave Rattlers. The Trailblazers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rattlers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Durango is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. That patch can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Mojave, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Durango will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pinecrest Academy Cadence at 3:30 p.m. on March 24th. Mojave will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Valley at 3:30 p.m. on March 26th.
