Football Recap: Mount Pleasant Takes a Loss + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Mount Pleasant duked it out with Carson on Friday. The Tigers fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 35-32. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Carson found their leader in sophomore Damo'N Broussard, who rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Broussard really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run. Griffin Barber was another key player, rushing for 40 yards and a pair of TDs.

Mount Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Carson, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Mount Pleasant will head out on the road to face off against Central Cabarrus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carson, they will welcome Pine Lake Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
