Football Recap: Versailles Takes a Loss

Versailles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 68-6 loss at the hands of the Butler Bears. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Butler to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Chandler, who picked up 95 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 65 yards and one TD on only five carries. Lucas Davidson was another key player, gaining 113 total yards and two touchdowns.

Versailles' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Butler, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Versailles will welcome El Dorado Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Butler, they will challenge St. Mary's Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
