It was a good run, but Santa Margarita unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huntington Beach Oilers. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Oilers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Santa Margarita's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Huntington Beach, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Santa Margarita has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Bishop's on the 8th. As for Huntington Beach, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Mater Dei on the 8th.
