Basketball Game Preview: Mendon Hornets vs. Athens Indians + How To Watch

Mendon is 6-1 against Athens since January of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Hornets will head out to take on the Indians at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Mendon's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Mendon will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Bellevue, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Hornets took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 71-36 win over the Broncos. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-18.

Ryder Gorham produced another solid performance shooting 69% from the field to rack up 31 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 43.5% three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Owen Gorham, who went 5-for-11 en route to 15 points and five assists.

Meanwhile, Athens ended up a good deal behind Climax-Scotts on Thursday and lost 47-33. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mendon's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Athens, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Mendon took their win against Athens in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 54-32 score. Will the Hornets repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
