Lancaster hasn't had much luck against South Pointe recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Lancaster Bruins will head out on the road to square off against the South Pointe Stallions at 6:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Lancaster sitting on three straight wins and South Pointe on 28.
Lancaster is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Blue Ridge by a score of 52-40.

Lancaster's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eliza Baskins, who posted 15 points and three steals. Baskins is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kemarja Peay, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, South Pointe won against Bluffton on Tuesday with 90 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. South Pointe blew past Wren, posting a 90-36 win. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 matchups by 34 points or more this season.
Lancaster better focus on containing Kaleigh Lucas and JaNyia Cunningham as the pair were huge in South Pointe's win. Lucas shot 5-for-9 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double with 28 points and nine assists, while Cunningham dropped a double-double with 27 points and 14 boards. That's the most points Lucas has posted since back in December of 2024. Kemoni Hardy was another key player, putting up eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.
South Pointe smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 24 consecutive games.
South Pointe's victory was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 28-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.5 points over those games. As for Lancaster, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Lancaster has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 28.3 boards per game. However, it's not like South Pointe struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Lancaster was taken down by South Pointe 66-22 when the teams last played on February 7th. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lancaster was down 40-10.
