Basketball Game Preview: McMichael Phoenix vs. South Stokes Sauras

McMichael hasn't had much luck against South Stokes recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Phoenix will head out on the road to square off against the Sauras at 8:00 p.m. One thing working in McMichael's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

McMichael made up a huge gap compared to their last game against South Stokes, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Phoenix fell just short of the Sauras by a score of 57-55 on Tuesday. The Phoenix were up 35-19 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jakeis Vernon, who posted 16 points and five boards. JJ Tatum was another key player, putting up 14 points and four steals.

The victory keeps South Stokes at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 69.8 points this season. As for McMichael, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
