Softball Recap: Northwest Area Triumphs

Northwest Area got themselves on the board against Benton on Monday, but Benton never followed suit. They didn't even let the Tigers on the board, marking their second-straight 15-0 shutout. The Rangers haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Jenna Robaczewski made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Ava Ruckle was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Addisyn Diltz, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Northwest Area lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Northwest Area's record is now 7-1. As for Benton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Northwest Area beat the Tigers by a score of 22-0 on Tuesday.
