Ragland extended the longest winning streak in 1A Region 6 this week by beating Appalachian, 50-7. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Purple Devils.
Addison moved up to 284 from 311 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league.
Ragland's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. KiJana Lindsay threw for 86 and one touchdown and Jacob Brewster had 30 yards receiving. On the ground Devane Brewster chipped in 96 yards. Jimmy Brock helped Ragland's passing attack out by catching one ball for 22 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Aaron Estes and Hunter Woodall Falkville has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Estes leads the league in passing with 458 yards, while Woodall has rushed for 807 yards this season. Jonathan Nix's team's Brock leads the league in receiving yards with 225 on seven catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Meek takes on the Purple Devils. As it stands, the Tigers are in fourth, while Ragland is in first.
The Bulldogs made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,028 from 10,812.
