Soccer Recap: Three Straight Road Victories for West Geauga

West Geauga won the last time they faced Lutheran West and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wolverines' defense stepped up to hand the Longhorns a 1-0 shutout. West Geauga wouldn't have won without Ben Mackin, who scored the game-winner.

West Geauga pushed their record up to 5-5-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three contests. As for Lutheran West, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6-1 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Geauga will take on Beachwood at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lutheran West, they will venture away from home to square off against Holy Name at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
