Volleyball Recap: Grant Tigers vs. Fremont Packers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Grant can now relate to. They came up short against the Fremont Packers on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Packers recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
While Grant was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-23.
Gee Lillian paced Grant's offense, picking up 12 kills. Lillian got some help from Longcore Emma and her 14 assists. Bouwkamp Payton controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 33-18-3. As for Fremont, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 36-12.
As of now, neither Grant nor the Packers have any future games scheduled.
