Football Recap: Indianola Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Indianola can now relate to. They came up short against the Northwest Wolves on Friday, falling 28-7. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Wolves are ranked second).

Indianola's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Northwest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.

Indianola does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwest, they will face off against Sioux City East on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wolves 12.9, the Black Raiders 14.1) so any points scored will be well earned.
