Hardin-Jefferson entered their tilt with Livingston on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They came out on top against the Livingston Lions by a score of 52-41. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 420th, while the Lions are ranked 960th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Livingston saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Corinne Henderson posted 12 points. Regan Lewis was another key player, putting up seven points and nine boards.

Hardin-Jefferson pushed their record up to 18-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Livingston, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-20 record this season.

Hardin-Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Livingston has also already played their next game, a 53-22 win against Shepherd on the 4th.
