Basketball Recap: Southwestern Comes Up Short

Southwestern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 74-59 fall against the North County Knights. While losing is never fun, the Sabers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Knights are ranked 55th).

Southwestern's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for North County, they have been performing well recently as they've won 13 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Southwestern nor North County have any future games scheduled.
