Baseball Recap: Abington Heights Takes a Loss

Abington Heights lost against Wallenpaupack Area on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Comets might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-7 to the Buckhorns, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Tate Pentasuglio made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Conner Abel, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Abington Heights' loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Wallenpaupack Area, their record is now 6-14.

Abington Heights has already played their next matchup, a 16-6 victory against West Scranton on the 11th. As for Wallenpaupack Area, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-3 defeat against Scranton Prep on the 12th.
