Softball Recap: Jasper Takes a Loss

Jasper and Buckhorn squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Jasper had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bucks by a score of 5-3. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bucks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Jasper has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-15 record this season. As for Buckhorn, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-13-1 record this season.

Jasper wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-5 loss against Hartselle on the 7th. As for Buckhorn, they have also already played their next contest, a 6-3 defeat against Southside on the 7th.
