Football Recap: Dougherty Comes Up Short

Dougherty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt a 66-38 loss at the hands of the Crisp County Cougars. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Dougherty's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Crisp County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dougherty will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th. As for Crisp County, they will square off against Swainsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
