Football Recap: Arkoma Skates Past Graham/Dustin with Ease

While Arkoma put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Graham/Dustin. The Mustangs claimed a resounding 46-0 win over the RiverHawk. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Arkoma's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Scout Smith, who rushed for 67 yards and a pair of scores. Smith also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Another player making a difference was Alex Armstrong, who rushed for 103 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Arkoma proved: they limited Graham/Dustin to a paltry 0.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Armstrong for the heroic effort on defense: he. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Arkoma's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Graham/Dustin, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

As for Graham/Dustin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Olive at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The RiverHawk will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
