Baseball Recap: Ripon Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Mary Catholic, Ripon was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Adams-Friendship Green Devils 6-5.

The team relied heavily on Jackson Gabrielski, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Adam Mashock was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Ripon has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Adams-Friendship, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Ripon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Green Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
