Volleyball Recap: Seven Straight Home Victories for Albany

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Albany had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Sonoma Valley Dragons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

While Albany won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16, 28-26.

Albany's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-14. As for Sonoma Valley, they moved to 14-12 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Albany is taking a road trip to take on Encinal at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jets will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. Sonoma Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
