Basketball Recap: Mineral Wells Comes Up Short

Mineral Wells lost against Glen Rose on January 11th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mineral Wells Rams were beaten by the Glen Rose Tigers 75-44. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1213th, while the Tigers are ranked 223rd).

Mineral Wells has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-23 record this season. As for Glen Rose, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mineral Wells has already played their next match (against Stephenville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Glen Rose will head out to square off against Brock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brock is on a eight-game streak of home wins, Glen Rose a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
