Basketball Game Preview: Harlandale Indians vs. South San Antonio Bobcats

The Harlandale Indians will face off against the South San Antonio Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Last Friday, Harlandale got the win against Southside by a conclusive 70-46. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Cardinals are ranked 1178th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, South San Antonio made easy work of MacArthur on Friday and carried off a 64-42 win. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season.

South San Antonio is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.1 points per game. As for Harlandale, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.

Harlandale ended up a good deal behind South San Antonio when the teams last played back in January, losing 58-42. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of South San Antonio's Kevin Settles, who went 7 for 13 en route to 18 points along with six boards and three steals.
