Basketball Game Preview: McComb Panthers vs. Upper Scioto Valley Rams

The McComb Panthers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Upper Scioto Valley Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

On Friday, McComb took a blow against Arlington, falling 68-8. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 771st, while the Red Devils are ranked 42nd).

Meanwhile, Upper Scioto Valley posted their biggest win since February 23, 2024 last Friday. They put the hurt on North Baltimore with a sharp 61-40 victory.

Upper Scioto Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for McComb, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

McComb strolled past Upper Scioto Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2015 by a score of 62-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for McComb since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
