Basketball Recap: The Leffell School Comes Up Short

The Leffell School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Yonkers Montessori Academy Eagles, falling 52-20. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 68-26 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

The Leffell School's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Yonkers Montessori Academy, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

The Leffell School will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Yonkers Montessori Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 27th. As for Yonkers Montessori Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 46-35 victory against Yorktown on the 8th.
