Basketball Recap: Newman AA Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Newman AA lost against Non Varsity Opponent last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Newman AA Cardinals took a 66-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Non Varsity Opponent. That's two games in a row now that the Cardinals have lost by exactly five points.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aiden Losiewicz, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 20 points. Losiewicz's afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Bedard, who posted five points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Newman AA's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.

Newman AA will welcome Non Varsity Opponent at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they will challenge Lake City Community at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
