Volleyball Recap: Belle Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Belle faced off against Cuba on Monday. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Wildcats. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-9, 16-25, 25-18.

Belle's offense was headlined by Lydia Jones and Chloe Jones, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Zoe Camden and her 11 assists. Saige Garner controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Allison Heads went supernova For Cuba., getting seven digs and four aces. That's the most digs Heads has posted over her last five matches.

Belle has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7-1 record this season. As for Cuba, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-7-1.

Belle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Bourbon on the 7th. As for Cuba, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Viburnum on the 7th.
