First Christian's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Brunswick Christian Academy Eagles. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Hayden Grant was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Morgan Earnhart, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Colten Rebardo was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

First Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Brunswick Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. First Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Open Bible Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Brunswick Christian Academy will challenge rival Hope Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
