Volleyball Recap: Nixa Comes Up Short

Nixa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Howell Central Spartans.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-13.

Colt McCoy paced Nixa's offense, picking up five kills. McCoy got some help from Bryce Peebles and his 11 assists.

Nixa's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Howell Central, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-3-2.

Looking ahead, Nixa will face off against Lincoln College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Blue Tigers at the right time seeing as the Blue Tigers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Howell Central, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Mehlville on the 3rd.
