Volleyball Recap: Oldham-Ramona/R Comes Up Short

If Oldham-Ramona/R was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of James Valley Christian on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rutland came up short against the DeSmet Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Rutland have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

While Oldham-Ramona/R had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-20, 25-18.

Oldham-Ramona/R's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for DeSmet, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7.

Coming up, Oldham-Ramona/R will face off against Freeman at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DeSmet, they will venture away from home to face off against Hamlin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
