Basketball Recap: Bennett Tigers vs. Eaton Reds
It's playoff time, and Bennett had no trouble coming through when it counted. They secured a 61-56 W over the Eaton Reds on Friday. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 65-64 win the Reds walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2016.

Owen Stiers was his usual excellent self, shooting 47% from the field to rack up 25 points along with five assists and three steals. His big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Ivory, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards.
Several Reds players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrew Loyd, who posted 14 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. That's the most points Loyd has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Austin Crider, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards.
Bennett is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points over those games. With the defeat, Eaton broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-10.
