Basketball Recap: Fremont Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

It's playoff time, and Fremont had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Lakewood Park Christian Panthers by a score of 50-40 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 62-44 back in November of 2024.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ava McGrade, who posted eight points along with six rebounds and three steals. McGrade is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 12 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Gracelyn Martin, who earned nine points and five boards.

Fremont is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for Lakewood Park Christian, they moved to 16-7 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Fremont will square off against Bethany Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fremont will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Lakewood Park Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
