Cordova is 1-7 against the Dragons since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Cordova Wolves will be playing at home against the Collierville Dragons at 6:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Cordova has struggled recently with ten losses in a row, while the Dragons will arrive with three straight victories.
Last Thursday, Cordova had to suffer through a rough 61-29 loss at the hands of the Tigers.
Meanwhile, Collierville can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Arlington 58-24 at home. Given Collierville's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Tigers are ranked 205th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cordova dropped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.1 points per game. As for Collierville, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
