Basketball Game Preview: Stephen-Argyle Central Storm vs. Crookston Pirates

The Stephen-Argyle Central Storm will square off against the Crookston Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Stephen-Argyle Central came up short against Mahnomen/Waubun on Friday, falling 69-45. The Storm have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Crookston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 62-58 heartbreaker at the hands of Thief River Falls.

Crookston's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Stephen-Argyle Central, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Stephen-Argyle Central beat Crookston 63-52 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Stephen-Argyle Central repeat their success, or does Crookston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
