Volleyball Recap: Mooresville Takes a Loss

Mooresville lost against Perry Meridian back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pioneers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mooresville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-19, 25-12, 25-21.

Perry Meridian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Peyton Kocher out in front who had 19 digs and five assists. Those five assists gave Kocher a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Martina Mays, who had 28 assists and six digs.

Mooresville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Perry Meridian, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mooresville is set to take on their familiar foe Plainfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Perry Meridian will challenge rival Franklin Community at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
