Baseball Recap: Cedar Bluff Comes Up Short

Cedar Bluff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Weaver Bearcats. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Cedar Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Weaver, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Bluff will welcome Section at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Weaver, they will take on Pleasant Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
