Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Marcus

Marcus's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 60-53 victory over the Flower Mound Jaguars. The win was all the more spectacular given the Marauders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Jaguars are ranked 14th).

Marcus now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Flower Mound, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 27-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marcus will venture away from home to take on Little Elm at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Little Elm has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests. As for Flower Mound, they are taking a road trip to challenge Coppell at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
