Volleyball Game Preview: ALA - West Foothills Guardians vs. St. John Paul II Catholic Lions

For the first time this season, ALA - West Foothills will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Thursday. They are taking a road trip to take on the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions at 5:30 p.m. ALA - West Foothills will be strutting in after a win while St. John Paul II Catholic will be coming in after a loss.

ALA - West Foothills saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against Desert Edge by a score of 2-0.

ALA - West Foothills relied on the efforts of Parker Mitchell, who had three digs and two aces, and Ethan Smead, who had 16 assists. With that strong performance, Smead is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game.

Meanwhile, St. John Paul II Catholic came up short against ALA - Ironwood on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-15, 25-12.

St. John Paul II Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for ALA - West Foothills, their victory bumped their record up to 12-1.
