Basketball Recap: St. Paul Comes Up Short

St. Paul has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 59-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sacred Heart Indians on Friday. The Cardinals were probably out for revenge after losing 81-53 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Paul's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Sacred Heart, their win was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the St. Paul Cardinals take on the Faith Academy Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sacred Heart has already played their next game (against Round Top-Carmine), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
