Softball Recap: Sheboygan South Redwings vs. Grafton Black Hawks

Sheboygan South extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 46 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-25 in the process. They came up short against the Grafton Black Hawks, falling 16-1. The Redwings were not able to make up for their loss to the Black Hawks from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Sheboygan South saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Mendez, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Aurea Mt Pleasant also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Riley Bergmann, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Eernisse, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one triple.
