Softball Recap: Crossland Cavaliers vs. Suitland Rams
After flying high against Largo last Monday, Crossland came back down to earth. The Crossland Cavaliers took a 19-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Suitland Rams on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Crossland has scored all season.
Kayla Ali led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Ayana Jenkins, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Crossland now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Suitland, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-1-1.
Crossland will head out on the road to take on Douglass at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Suitland, they will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Laurel.
