Football Recap: Lakeview Gators vs. St. Mary Tigers
Lakeview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the St. Mary Tigers 41-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gators of the 33-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2022.
Braylon Normand continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for St. Mary, throwing for 258 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also picking up 56 receiving yards. Normand got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 54 yards. John Paul Thibodaux was in the mix as well, providing St. Mary with three touchdowns.
Lakeview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for St. Mary, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.
As of now, neither Lakeview nor St. Mary have any future games scheduled.
