Softball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage managed to slip by Holly Springs the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Heritage Huskies came up short against the Holly Springs Golden Hawks on Tuesday, falling 7-1. That's two games in a row now that the Huskies have lost by exactly six runs.

Heritage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Janiah Vargas, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Zoelle Davidson also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Heritage and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Holly Springs, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Heritage will be playing at home against Apex Friendship at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Holly Springs, they will venture away from home to face off against Green Hope at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Green Hope is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6 runs per game this season.
